How I Photograph Men: Quiet Confidence, Not Forced Poses

Most men tell me the same thing before we start: “I don’t really like being photographed.”

That’s why I keep my approach simple and natural.

Instead of classic posing, I use:

  • Gentle prompts like “look into the distance” or “adjust your jacket”
  • Natural movement: walking, sitting, leaning
  • Quiet conversation to help you feel at ease

My favorite angles:

  • Eye-level for calm, grounded energy
  • Lower angles to add quiet strength
  • From a distance — more space, less pressure

Before we begin, I usually ask:

  • What do you want the photos to feel like?
  • What makes you feel comfortable?
  • What don’t you want to see?

This is not about perfection — It’s about being yourself, and maybe even liking how you look.
