My best local tips + a smart city card that can help

Hi! I’m Alena – a photographer living in Prague since 2011.

Prague is full of places worth visiting – towers, viewpoints, museums, historic streets, cafés and the beautiful river. But tickets and transport can add up quickly.

One of the easiest ways to save money and make your trip smoother is the Prague Visitor Pass – the official city card that includes transport + many attractions.

What is the Prague Visitor Pass?

The Pass is available in three durations:

  • 48 hours
  • 72 hours
  • 120 hours

And you can buy it:

  • online
  • in the official Prague Visitor Pass app
  • or at official sales points across the city

Once you buy it, all included attractions and transport access activate automatically – you don’t need separate tickets.

The Pass includes:

Unlimited public transport (metro, tram, bus + airport route)

  • Free entry to 70+ attractions
  • 1-hour Vltava river cruise
  • Guided tours
  • Discounts in selected places
  • A choice between a physical card or a digital e-pass

A helpful tip for your photoshoot day

If you’re planning a photoshoot with me during your trip, the Pass can make the day easier:

  • quick transport between beautiful photo locations
  • more time to explore before or after the shoot
  • no need to buy individual tickets along the way
  • fewer logistics – more fun and memories

I’m always happy to suggest smooth photo routes – and with the Pass, moving around is even simpler

🎄 Christmas season bonuses (added automatically)

If you purchase the 48-, 72- or 120-hour Pass, the winter bonuses are added to your card automatically. You don’t need to upgrade or select anything extra.

This season includes:

  • Old Town Hall Tower – magical view over the Christmas markets
  • Historic Tram No. 42 – 24-hour hop-on/hop-off ticket, including the chance to ride a beautifully decorated Christmas tram
  • One-hour river cruise – cozy holiday atmosphere

Perfect for couples, families and romantic December trips

My favorite included places

Here are some of the attractions that I personally love – and that are included in the Pass:

There are many more – and I’d be happy to recommend places based on your plans and travel style

Final thoughts

If your Prague plans include exploring, discovering, making memories – then the Prague Visitor Pass is a smart choice
If you prefer slow walks, cafés and just one or two attractions – you might not need it, and that’s perfectly fine too.

Whatever you choose – I hope you fall in love with Prague as much as I did
